Passage: Genesis 18, 21, 22
God told Abraham to sacrifice his son. Upon acting in faith and brutally processing how painful this would be, God provided a Ram. It was the sacrifice of God’s provided lamb that ultimately pleased God, not the sacrifice of what Abraham could bring. It is not what we can bring before the throne; only the sacrifice of Jesus, the Lamb, can impact our standing before the Father.
