Luke 19:28-40

1. Don’t Miss What’s Right in Front of You
A world-class musician once played a $3.5 million violin in a busy subway station. Nearly 1,100 people passed by—only a handful stopped. Same musician, same music, completely different response… all because of context.

That raises an important question for us this week: What might we be missing because we’re moving too fast or not paying attention? Jesus’ arrival into Jerusalem wasn’t random—it was carefully orchestrated, filled with meaning, and happening right in front of people who still didn’t fully see it.

  • Where might you be too distracted to recognize what God is doing?
  • What would it look like for you to slow down and pay attention this week?

Scripture to consider: Luke 19:35–38

2. See the King for Who He Truly Is
Jesus enters Jerusalem as King—but not the kind of king people expected. Not on a war horse, but on a colt. Not with force, but with humility. Not to conquer Rome, but to bring peace.

Everything about this moment points to a deeper reality: Jesus is the promised King, but His kingdom operates differently. He came to reconcile—to bring peace between God and man.

  • What expectations do you have of Jesus that might need to be reshaped?
  • Are you relating to Him on your terms, or receiving Him as He truly is?

Scripture to consider: Zechariah 9:9

3. Respond While You Still Can
As the crowds praised, the Pharisees pushed back. Jesus responded: “If they were to keep silent, the stones would cry out.” Creation itself testifies to His glory.

The real danger wasn’t opposition—it was missing Him entirely.

We’re constantly consuming content, scrolling endlessly—but are we actually seeing? This week is an invitation to lift our eyes, recognize the King, and respond.

  • Will you acknowledge Jesus as King in your life?
  • What would it look like for you to openly worship and follow Him this week?

Scripture to consider: Luke 19:39–40

Bottom Line: Look for the King.

He has come. He has made Himself known. And He still invites us to see Him, submit to Him, and proclaim Him.

A simple prayer for this week:
“Lord, help me see You.”
